Rudolph Giuliani is an American politician and currently inactive attorney, who served as the 107th Mayor of New York City from 1994 to 2001. He served as United States Associate Attorney General from 1981 to 1983 and United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York from 1983 to 1989. Giuliani led the 1980s federal prosecution of New York City mafia bosses as U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. After a failed campaign for Mayor of New York City in the 1989 election, he succeeded in 1993, and was reelected in 1997, holding a platform of toughness on crime. He led New York's controversial "civic cleanup" as its mayor from 1994 to 2001. He was named Time magazine's Person of the Year for 2001 and was given an honorary knighthood in 2002 by Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom.
Gennaro Sangiogliano has joined Rai in 2003 as a correspondent for the TGR, Sangiuliano became editor-in-chief and then moved on to TG1. He was sent to Bosnia, Kosovo and Afghanistan. On 31 October 2018 he was appointed by the Board of Rai, on the proposal of the CEO Fabrizio Salini, new director of TG2, succeeding Ida Colucci.
